My Learning This Year

This year i came in really excited and i still am. When i was in year 1 i did not know about computer work and I learnt about 2.0 web tech tools like Mathletics, Twitter, Skype, Blogger, Gloging, Comic Chat, Makebeliefcomix and many more. We do computer work with other people around the world like Mrs. Knee And Mrs.Cassady. I want to be a self directed learner. We do this work without the teacher telling us so that means that we are a self directed leaning. Mrs M is the best teacher ever in the world!!!

Writing A Narrative

Last week we had to start our narrative. A narrative is a story. We had to finish it by today. My title is The Spies Called Con and Angus. Con is me, and Angus is my brother. We have to stop Dr Dad because he got out of prison. He made a big laser in prison and he only has 10 metres in his power level. So he only gets 10 shots to shoot me. At the end we have a big battle. I won't give it away because it's a secret.

My Favourite Books

My favourite book is ZAC POWER andCAPTAIN UNDERPANTS. I chose Zac power because he goes on really cool missions.

And i chose Captain underpants becuase he wears UNDERPANTS!

My Opinion

On Thursday I started my opinion. We had to finish it by wensday. At first it sounded hard, then it was easy. I got mine finished on September 2nd. My other mates didn't even finish theirs. I was really lucky. Some of us did there opinion on No polluting the bay or Stop global warming. I chose the first one, No polluting the bay. My teacher is checkking them on September 3rd. I hope i do well.

About Friendship

Last week we started on a Friendship Program. We read a book then we have to do an activity on what we've read in the book. Today we did a sheet that had up to seven numbers and it was like a web. Each number represented our age up to age 7. On each number we had to write what we could achieve at that age. For example, at age 1, I could walk. At age 5 I was fast. At age 7 I can go to bed without someone reading me a book first.

About Mathletics

We have been doing Mathletics this term and I really like it. It's about doing maths like adding, take away, time and measurement. I have got 2 certificates for reaching 1000 points each week for the last 2 weeks. I like my avatar on Mathletics, he's really cool.

Export From Kidpix

On Earth Day, we had to draw a picture in KidPix of how we could care for the earth
.
We are going to put them into a slideshow.

Before we could do that we had to learn how to export the picture as a jpeg.

Mrs M showed Georgia how to do it and Georgia taught me.


Georgia, Jack D and I made a video to teach other how to export from KidPix.
